Gluten-free cornbread with herbs

Gluten-Free Cornmeal Bread with Herbs is a tasty solution for simple, homemade bread. It has a pleasant aroma and is delicious. Both adults and children will like it. Its only drawback is that it must be completely cooled before eating.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g corn flour
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp dry or fresh Provence herbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 80 ml ground flaxseed
  • 625 ml milk or water
  • 2 tsp dry yeast

Preparation:

  1. Measure out flaxseed with a measuring cup and grind in a manual mill.
  2. Slightly heat milk in a saucepan, add sugar and yeast.
  3. Then add flour, flaxseed, herbs and salt, and mix thoroughly. The dough will thicken. It will form a ball, which should be transferred to a bowl, covered with a lid or bag, and left to rise for 45 minutes.
  4. Knead the dough again, if necessary, add a few tablespoons of water.
  5. Form a big bun and leave to rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 220 ° C.
  7. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place your bread on it, put it into a preheated oven.
  8. Bake the gluten-free bread in the oven for about 60 minutes at 230 ° C. When you tap it on the bottom, you should hear a dull thud to know that it is ready.
  9. Chill the loaf on the wire rack.
  10. After a few hours, the bread will become delicious; you can cut it thinly, it does not crumble.
